Warning Access Issue: Parking and Waivers DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

The Antlion Cliff is a band of pretty good, but still in the process of getting cleaned up, rock to the south of Millbrook proper. Officially, it is part of the Millbrook Mountain cliff line. This cliff was purchased by the Gunks Climbers' Coalition (GCC) in 2020 and more information can be found on their website. Read the access details and ensure you sign the waiver and register for parking.

Like some of the lower climbing on Millbrook, expect to find lots of loose and sandy rock; climb cautiously and be aware of the rock quality when you are placing gear. As this property is not part of the Mohonk preserve, there is no current bolting ban though all new bolts must be approved by the GCC. This allows for some spectacular mixed routes similar to what you would find in the New River Gorge.

Getting There Suggest change

Walk across the yard of the parking towards a stream where you will see a chair on a large flat rock. From here, you should pick up the yellow blazed trail. The total hike is just over a mile and has about 900 ft of elevation gain.
