Bat Wall Rock Climbing

Walk past Red Wall, Bridge Cliff, and Spring Rock until the trail starts to go over some large boulders. On your left is the impressive Bat Wall. Lots of chalk and mostly hard routes on this fun wall.

Note that bolts on this wall have slowly amassed over time and the Portland Rock Climbs guidebook (Fourth Edition) does not have all of the lines listed here in its topos. There is also 2nd tier to the wall, so many of the routes listed here are actually begun from the anchors of other routes. Some lines also cut away into new territory or link into other routes. Below is an attempt to organize these routes from L to R and by level:

• The Haunting (cuts right across Bad Omen and finishes at Superstition anchor, a more logical finish is through Bad Omen)
• Bad Omen (Continue into Manson Family Reunion via linkup bolts for Manson Family Direct)

• Bloodsucker (Continue for Full Blood Sucker)

• Predator (Same finish as Bloodline)
• Vlad the Impaler (cuts left from midpoint of Superstition)

• Remain in Light (cuts right from near the top of Superstition, or more directly from Lost Boys by cutting left near the top)
