Description Suggest change

Cook's Lookout AKA Captain James Cook National Historic Site is right in town, with great views of the city and the Bay of Islands. Don't be surprised by startled tourist when you top out!
This crag is very beginner friendly and has mostly moderate routes with easy TR access

It seems a lot of people toss garbage from the lookout, so feel free to bring a small bag to help keep the crag clean.

Getting There Suggest change

Head to the lookout from the parking lot, follow the blue rail to the open end on the right, then down along the ridge doubling back left to the base of the crag.
