Description
The Entiat Mountains are a sub-range of the Cascades. They mostly runs north-south for about 50 miles sandwiched between the Entiat river on the NE and the Wenatchee & Chiwawa Rivers on the SW. The north end lays is within the Glacier Peak Wilderness where the mountains merges with the Chelan Mountains at the head waters of the Entiat River. It is home to many peaks over 8000 ft and three over 9000 ft. The mountains extend south all the way to the Columbia River.
Some of the notable peaks located in the northern part of the Entiat Mountains are: Mount Fernow, Seven Fingered Jack, Mount Maude, Copper Peak, Dumbell Mountain, Spectacle Buttes, Ice Box, and Buckskin Mountain.

Getting There
For access on the east side. From Wenatchee, travel north on Alt 97 to Entiat, turn west onto Entiat River Road. It is 37 miles from Entiat to the Entait River Trail Head at the end.
For access on the west side. From Leavenworth, travel north on the Chumstick Hwy or Hwy 2 towards Lake Wenatchee. Once there, get on the Chiwawa River Road. it is 24 miles to the Phelps Creek Trailhead at the end.
