Description

During the construction season of 2022 and 2023 this area was either demolished or drastically changed. Climb at your own risk.

A large amphitheater that is 2.5 miles past the Weigh Station when coming from Anchorage. Park at Boy Scout rock parking lot or simply turn around and pull your vehicle over to the side of the road far enough to be out of traffic. If you climb past 9PM there tends to be very little traffic, and hell you live in AK take advantage of the long days! Otherwise expect to never hear your partner due to the ocean and highway. The rock quality is generally pretty bad but isn't terrible for Seward Highway. Watch yourself in the spring when the rock has been frost wedged out and can lead to holds that weren't previously loose falling out. Protect often. One of the few places that you can "multi-pitch" on the highway with a few routes being short two pitchers.

Getting There

2.5 miles past the Weigh Station you will see a large rock amphitheater about 80 feet off the road. If you hit Mchugh creek you've gone about .1 mile to far.
