Description
This area includes a high potential for sport route development, the rock is beautiful granite that is super solid. The drive up to Handies Peak features some amazing looking walls that could have some serious multipitch climbs on them. Along the creek that runs from the runoff in this area features some terrific looking bouldering. There is a lot of snow that may cause some issues with bolting in the future (there's still snow up there, but a majority of the snow happens from September to May).
I have created this page to help create awareness to bring climbing development to this area, or even just to provide those climbers who are hiking Handies an activity to do apart from the hike.
I found some boulders in this area after hiking and was fortunate enough to bring my crash pad (but not my shoes, I know right?!). I want to open this area up for those who are experienced in bolting (I have none) to have a newfound love for this area, because it's breathtaking!
If you believe you can claim a FA, let me know, and I'll be more than happy to change it!
