Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

The Queen Valley Area is a relatively wild and remote spot and features some of the longest hikes for climbing in the Park and is located between the Central and Pinto Basin Areas.

Getting There

Approach from the west via the town of Joshua Tree.
Approach from the east from the town of 29 Palms and the Cottonwood Entrance/Interstate 10.
