Description
Located in LaFayette, GA close to the Tennessee border, Rocktown is one of the best bouldering areas in the southeast and is known for its amazing sandstone with bomber slopers, crimps, huecos, rails and intense top-outs. Rocktown is relatively popular, depending on the season.
Human and pet waste is increasingly becoming a problem at Rocktown. There are no bathrooms on site, so be prepared to pick up after yourself and your pets. Camping is not permitted in the parking area at this time, but you can easily camp nearby (3 minutes from the trailhead). Turn left after coming out of the trailhead road and make a sharp right shortly after to find the camping area. A lands use permit is technically required to climb/use/camp on Georgia state lands (either that or a fishing/hunting license).
