Description Suggest change

This is a classic route from 1970 that is very cool. Walk past all the routes on the west facing Main Wall of the High Rappel. The wall makes a 90 degree turn and is now south facing. Rocky Road begins right next to a large oak tree and is the first route encountered on the south face. Climb face and cracks for about 25 feet up to the main dihedral. Climb past a couple bolts to a beefy 2 bolt anchor. The crux is moving past the last bolt. Tricky! Rated 5.8 in the guidebook, it feels more like 5.9 to me. Rappel the route or walk off to the north then east to the descent gully.

Location Suggest change

The farthest left route on the south face of the High Rappel Wall. Look for the large Oak tree at the start.

Protection Suggest change

Trad rack to 4 inches. 2 bolts. Two bolt anchor for belay/rappel.
