Description Suggest change

This area includes routes accessed easily by hiking uphill from Timberline Lodge to the mountains eroded crater which forms a horseshoe ridge opening to the south, from the West Crater Rim (SW) to Steel Cliff (SE). This is where the standard South Side Route that most people take to collect their summit selfie is, though there are several finishing variations depending on conditions and comfort level to breach the crater wall.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike up hill from Timberline Lodge. Look for your route. Please stay off the groomer and out of the way of grooming machines and skiers/boarders.
