Description
Home to Saint George's wide variety of sport climbs and Zion National Park's infamous traditional climbing, Southwest Utah has a rich variety for every climber and every season. Chase the sun around St. George on cool winter days, or seek shade and higher elevations of Brian Head or Utah Hills in the hot summer months.
For the out-of-place ice climber, Cedar Canyon offers some familiar medium to swing tools. Zion is also home to some rare and spicy but scenic flows. Ice season is hit-or-miss and often short. Sometimes climbs will come in, break down after a warm spell, and reform again multiple times in a winter.
With so many options for unrivaled climbing, as well as world-class destinations for mountain biking and even skiing within a short drive, Southwest Utah is an ideal setting for multi-sport days.
