Description Suggest change

2nd tier that is just right of the Dream Wall and directly above Bomb Shelter. Access via the Sun Deck Approach Ramp (5.4, listed under the Animal House), or Group Therapy (5.6) (preferable as a descent.) Basically all the routes are excellent.

Getting There Suggest change

There are often fixed lines hanging that are meant to help make ascending and descending a bit more time efficient.

Use the lines at your own risk and evaluate them for wear or potential rockfall damage as you go. If you notice damage please comment here.

Keep in mind that you should have some basic self rescue skills and multipitching experience before venturing onto the Sun Deck.

Use a minimum of two locking tethers on the ramp, be ready to safely pass directional bolts, and consider using an auto locking belay device or an ascender to climb on it (or to protect your ascent), especially in wet conditions.

To descend: rappel on the Group Therapy fixed line, or thread your own rope through one of many anchors and rappel.

Do NOT simply hand over hand up or down the rope. The rock here is total choss and often damp.  You do not want to slip without proper protection. Maintain awareness of anyone passing below, and wear a helmet.
