Getting There
Four approaches.
1) From the top of the Upper Wall trail (near base of Waterway, Green Drag On), follow the trail right along the base of the Cheeks. Cross the gully to the Diamond.
2) From town, hike up to Duck Wall at Lookout Point, then either do a route to its top or follow the gully on its left side. This gully generally has water rushing down until mid-summer, but one can skirt along its right edge at the bottom, then cross to the left side midway up. As of January 2017, there is a fixed line to help keep you stable on the wet rock steps (Thanks to Derek P.)
3) Like 2, but at the top of the talus, go right along the base of Lookout Point, then up the gully, then skirt left (southwest) along the top of Lookout Point and Duck Wall.
4) Newest and funnest way: Take trail from town to top of talus slope. Just right of Them (on WOTI wall, base of Duck), find the via ferrata. Take this to the top, which ends just behind the Velvet Pedestal. Walk across to the Collegium and left to the Beyond, following a handline above a slightly exposed patch above Duck.
Early in spring when the gully is full of water, routes 1) and 4) are probably best for the Diamond; otherwise taking the gully in 2) is fastest.
But for the Collegium, route 3) is probably fastest at all times of year.
