Warning Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

The first pitch of Nebula/lite.

A 60m journey up a gradually steepening, highly featured slab on perfect stone. This is a wonderful single pitch to start or finish your day on SCW.

Trust your rubber and teeter up the slab passing two distinct cruxes.  Enter the "Frog Flake" and enjoy good jams and gear before you have to punch it to the bolt. Use a runner on the bolt and make some very fun moves out left to the next bolt, then up to some easy climbing to the anchor.

RAP: two ropes to rap the whole pitch. One 60m rope can get you down (climbers left) to a point where it is mellow scrambling down the standard scw descent.

**This pitch does seem to include a small part of some long forgotten pitch we aren't able to find any details of**

Location Suggest change

Where the SCW approach trail meets the wall, go left along the base. This will go downhill to a big tree. The route is on the slab in front of the tree.

Protection Suggest change

Bring 12-14 draws, including a few alpine. A single rack from 0.2-#1 Camalot with doubles in .4 is plenty.

10 bolts. Chain anchors.
