Description
Valley of the Blind is one of the classic crags of Arkansas. Tall and varied routes, both trad and sport characterize this area. Not to be missed is the Painted Wall, the premier wall of the area is a great winter option on the coldest of days as long as the sun is shining. Just make sure it hasn't rained recently as the tops of the routes tend to seep quite a while after rain events. Several other classics are not to be missed and a sprinkled throughout the area.
Getting There
This area is located approximately 1.5 miles south of Sam's Throne. Park at the end of the guardrail on the west side of HWY 123. Hike a couple hundred feet to the north and look for a small cairn marking the trail (currently there is a small piece of red/white tape on a tree). Follow the trail downhill for 5 minutes or so and look for the trail to split at the seasonal waterfall (~10ft high). The left trail below the seasonal waterfall leads to Middle Earth and the right trail leads you to Valley of the Blind Proper.
